Wow! What a find.
I stumbled across a solution written by a bunch of developers in South Africa (http://www.code-innovation.co.za). Its all about being green, making things more effecient and more importantly saving and making money for the SME community at the same time.
As first I thought it was too good to be true, then I tried it for myself and saw the power behind their thinking and solution - I thought their QR codes South Africa was a great idea too.
In a nutshell, they created a mobile business information system, which a business owner uses to speed up the data collection of their sales and delivery information from the field using their mobile devices.
The 'innovators' as they call themselves, came up with a brilliant web based application, where the business owner creates their own solution filling in forms and it populates a mobile based solution with statistics and graphing. Data has integration hooks into customers systems, so quickly and cheaply, the whole solution can be rolloed out and be put to making money in minutes!(with a bit of thought and training of course)
